My body finally succumbed to jet lag. 12 hours after falling asleep, I woke up to Julie's text message announcing that Tatyana would be downstairs in five minutes. I think I felt more human than I have so far.
Our visit to the ethnographic museum was wonderful. We made bracelets in the style of traditional belts, ten-armed dolls for helping with household chores( much needed in my house), baked bird cookies( mine looked like it suffered from encephalitis), and we even participated in traditional Russian dances similar to "spin the bottle," at least in purpose.
Later Tatyana took us to a book and toy store that further affirms my belief that we are all the same: we like to play, to pretend, to laugh, and to be entertained. I saw Russian cartoon characters, Legos, toy guns, and books of Russian as well as European fairy tales.
